Students will be able to understand:

  1. To understand the main components of an OS & their functions.
  2. To study the process management and scheduling.
  3. To understand various issues in Inter Process Communication (IPC) and       deadlocks prevention along with deadlock avoidance.
  4. To understand the concepts and implementation Memory management policies and virtual memory.
  5. To understand the concept of file organization, disk scheduling and secondary storage management.
